Hi, I'm Angela. I'm a journalism student going into my final year at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta. I've been creatively inclined my whole life, and nothing speaks to me more than what I'm doing now. Today's journalism comes with the versatility of photojournalism, videojournalism, infographics and design. We're taking the world around us and presenting it in an informative, exciting and beautiful way that elicits social engagement and, most importantly: change.

Hi, I'm Kate! I'm in my last year of journalism at Mount Royal University. I graduated with my BSc in Kinesiology in 2015 and love it when I can apply my science background to the stories I'm writing — it certainly came in handy for this project.

My work has appeared in Maclean's Magazine, The Calgary Journal, Airdrie City View, Rocky View Weekly, Big Kitty Magazine and the Science Writers & Communicators of Canada (SWCC) blog. My Calgary Journal story "Mind of a Murderer," was a 2019 Finalist for the Emerge Media award in the Feature Story category.

Hey there, I'm Lauryn! This project is one of my last as an undergraduate journalism student at Mount Royal University. I currently live in Calgary but was raised in the small town of Provost, Alta— small town girl with big city dreams!

This summer, I'll be interning remotely with CBC in the ultimate finale to my time as a student!

When I'm not in the virtual classroom I can be found hanging out with my roommates, cooking yummy gluten-free recipes, loving on my plant babies or scrolling through fashion and interior design inspiration.
